FRIDAY 14 AUGUST PUNSAND BAY
Today was pretty similar to yesterday, but we did go out in the afternoon.

Early morning on the beach at Punsand
Drove 1.2kms up the Pajinka road, then took a track to the left, that wound around for nearly a km before it came to the beach.
There was a huge brush turkey mound near where we parked the car, but we didn’t see the turkey.
We fished on the beach there – about a km from the resort. John was really pleased that I fished too.

The Tip of Cape York from our fishing beach near Punsand
I caught a queenfish and we both caught several big, grunting fish – toadfish? – which we put back, not being sure what they were.
It was dark when we got back to camp.
I cooked some of the queenfish for John’s tea, with fries. I just had fries – rarely eat fish that has bones.
